Sketching Malaysia - Penang

Lebuh Muntri Street, Penang. With glimpse of mural art on the 'five foot way' arch.

I joined the "See It - Sketch It" event, which was part of the celebrations of the anniversary of Georgetown being marked as a UNESCO Heritage City. Coordinated by the Penang Urban Sketchers group.

Sketching was made along Kapitan Kelling, one of the main roads of Georgetown. All participants were given an A3 page, and all compositions were exhibited at The Equator Art Academy

Another programme in the UNESCO celebrations was an open day at the oldest Anglican Church in South East Asia, St George's Church. Adjacent was the St Nicholas Home for the Blind.

The view from Penang Hill, overlooking Georgetown. Some cheeky monkeys and a large black centipede.

Pah Homestead, TSB Bank Wallace Arts Centre

Pah Homestead TSB Bank Wallace Arts Centre. Was captivated by this group at the Cafe chatting with Sign Language. The sculpture spoke to me in another language.

Pah Homestead TSB Bank Wallace Arts Centre Cafe. Two of my favourite things - great art and delicious food!

BIG DRAW - Cornwall Park

Historic Cornwall Park in Auckland is a gorgeous public park with mature trees and a sweeping landscape that leads all the way to One Tree Hill

The historic park and it's historic Info Centre, of which I failed to complete on the day as the sun was blazing hot

Auckland Lantern Festival 2015

Gorgeous lanterns gifted by Auckland's sister city Ningbo, China.

The view from our Production office as the crowds grow ever bigger!

The 'Flying Lady Arch", might be the last time we use this one as it's getting on a bit.

Van Tiel Pyrotechnics off the Sky Tower - a great finale to our biggest festival yet!
